“ THE CAERLAVEROCK CASTLE ”

Having interpreted the cloud phenomenon as representing the

“ crux decussata ” upon wich St.Andrew , Patron Saint of Scotland , was crucified .

A lucky shot ? A message ? A sign ?

It’ s a mystery …

CC is a moated ex- Maxwell Family triangular castle, built in the 13th century,

near the ruins of an earlier one in the Caerlaverock National Nature Reserve Area at the Solway Firth , south of Dumfries, Dumfries & Galloway, in the southwest of Scotland .

This part of Scotland seems to have played an important role in the Arthurian tradition.

Which later was mixed into the Grail legends.

CC is said to be one of the mythical birthplaces of legendary King Arthur.
